Paleolithic Diet and Paleo Foods

Paleolithic diet (commonly called Paleo or “caveman” diet) is a system of life based on the theory that our bodies are not designed to eat processed foods and eat only foods that were available for the Paleolithic. The emphasis is on natural foods, not processed, which can be eaten without preparation. Paleo diet advocates argue that health problems such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and heart disease are “diseases of civilization” caused by modern foods, processed and packaged.
